- Develop a warm-up exercise for you and your dog...think light switch..ON and OFF
- Name Game...several times daily..reward with YES when the dog looks at you...call again if necessary
- Walk/run in a straight line...dog on both sides
- Circle work...walk then run with the dog on both sides..large circle 12-14 ft. in diameter
- Start line stays...sit or down...add distance and duration....then movement
- Call to heel...use a leash..short distance only...two-three steps max. when the dog is in position
- Remember to bring a toy for the next class and AWESOME dog treats....No bait bags on the handlers for class
- Celebrate the small gains! You are all gaining! Build the relationship!
