    Course Length 6 Weeks

The weave pole class will begin with the dog receiving positive reinforcement for finding the entry of the weave poles, with the use of two poles.  This behavior will be executed from any angle around the clock. The dog will become proficient at finding the entry independently of the handler. Upon the successful completion of this behavior we will move to completion of 12 weave poles, beginning with 6. The use of channels will be introduced at this time reinforcing the dog for speed and independence. The channels will be closed slowly. After completion of 12 weave poles, if time allows we will introduce the challenge of different obstacles  into the weaves. The use of triples, doubles, the tire, winged jumps, wingless jumps and the table will all be placed so that the dogs execution of weave pole behavior is proficient from any obstacle and at any angle.
